Yes, and the documented policy of the gcc.gnu.org mailing lists is to
reject e-mail with legal disclaimers that prohibit the messages from
being archived on the web. It's unfortunate that this one got through

In fact, I thought Andy was just working with -pedantic turned on today
and I tried to lighten up the thread. I had no intention whatsoever to
argue against the rule.
