Sorry for answering my own post but it might make me less of a nuisance 
in the long run :)

Does anyone know where I can get a gcc binary that has ada support built 
in for Linux? I'm on a 64 bit platform, Trisquel Linux specifically.

I might be able to solve my other problems by myself if I have an ada 
enabled gcc to begin with. The one in my repository is not and adding 
gnat from the repository does not help and neither does installing a 
binary gnat from adacore.
