Hi everyone, In addition to basic arithmetic and branch instructions the mcu has special instructions for audio/video-processing. Now i code using something like machine code. An ease-use language tool is needed to popularize it, so i would like to create a gcc backend for it. Although i have used gcc compiler for a long term, i am a beginer and have no any idea to write a gcc backend. Is it reasonable one person take 6-12months to do it? Where can i get guidance documents for a beginer? Thanks!
