Oh, you are right. 20 decimal digits seems to be roughly equivalent to
64 binary digits (20 * log10/log2 is ~66) one would encounter with
80-bits float.

Some years ago I created a birthday card for a friend's 50th birthday.
He is a CS Prof. The face of the card showed 50 (decimal) in all number
bases through hexadecimal, printed at various angles. Inside, the card
told him he could select the number base he liked most to represent
his age.
