Hi, I tried to build gcc version 4.5.1 on MacOS 10.6.3. Already installed is "i686-apple-darwin10-gcc-4.2.1 (GCC) 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5659)" which is used for the first stage of the bootstrap process (If I understand the gcc build process correctly) I used the following configure: ../gcc-4.5.1/configure --prefix /Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir/ --program-suffix=-4.5.1 --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs --enable-languages=c,c++ I get the following error: ... make[5]: Nothing to be done for `all'. make "AR_FLAGS=rc" "CC_FOR_BUILD=gcc" "CC_FOR_TARGET=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-objects/./gcc/xgcc -B/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-objects/./gcc/" "CFLAGS=-g -O2" "CXXFLAGS=-g -O2" "CFLAGS_FOR_BUILD=-g -O2" "CFLAGS_FOR_TARGET=-g -O2" "INSTALL=/usr/bin/install -c" "INSTALL_DATA=/usr/bin/install -c -m 644" "INSTALL_PROGRAM=/usr/bin/install -c" "INSTALL_SCRIPT=/usr/bin/install -c" "LDFLAGS=" "LIBCFLAGS=-g -O2" "LIBCFLAGS_FOR_TARGET=-g -O2" "MAKE=make" "MAKEINFO=makeinfo --split-size=5000000 --split-size=5000000 " "PICFLAG=" "PICFLAG_FOR_TARGET=" "SHELL=/bin/sh" "RUNTESTFLAGS=" "exec_prefix=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir" "infodir=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir/share/info" "libdir=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir/lib" "includedir=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir/include" "prefix=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir" "tooldir=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir/x86_64-apple-darwin10.3.0" "gxx_include_dir=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-installdir/lib/gcc/x86_64-apple-darwin10.3.0/4.5.1/include/c++" "AR=ar" "AS=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-objects/./gcc/as" "LD=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-objects/./gcc/collect-ld" "RANLIB=ranlib" "NM=/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-objects/./gcc/nm" "NM_FOR_BUILD=" "NM_FOR_TARGET=nm" "DESTDIR=" "WERROR=" all-recursive Making all in include make[4]: *** No rule to make target `/Users/ts/CUDA-Dev/gcc-4.5.1/libstdc++-v3/include/backward/auto_ptr.h', needed by `stamp-backward'.
