Hey,

I have been trying to replace gcc 4.4.1 (which is already installed in my
machine) with its earlier version 3.4.6. But I am not able to do it. I
followed the steps as given in this website:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=124606

though I am able to install gg 3.4.6 i.e. it gives that gcc 3.4.6 is the
latest verision, but when I type "gcc -v" it still gives version as 4.4.1
even though i have used the export CC command.

When i removed the newer version, anticipating that, after this it might
consider the older version, it doesn't recognize gcc command itself.

Thanking you
Regards
