gcc update from 4.1.2 to 4.4

Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade from gcc-4.1.2 to the latest version (I really only need 4.2+ for my app, though) and can't find any mentions of upgrading. I don't have access to any online repositories for this either, so any help (i.e. a point in the right direction) would be appreciated.
