GNU make 3.81 was installed
BinUtils 2.19 was installed

I haven't come across this problem before with other platforms.  Usually
the problem has to do with linking or compiling rather than with a
target not found in a generated makefile.

The usual reason could be that the "Prerequisites" was not read from
the Install instructions at gcc.gnu.org... Like that using GNU make
is obligatory...
