Hello, I want to compile gcc 4.2.2 on a solaris x86 machine ( solaris x86 with amd64 libraries support on an amd64 hardware) that supports the -m64 option. That is I would want the built gcc to be able to generate both 32 & 64 bit output files. I have gcc compiler that comes with the solaris x86 distribution available for the compiling the source. My question is what will have to be done to build a gcc with -m64 option? Running configure, make, make install in the very basic scenario doesnt get gcc the -m64 support. Please advice on configure and make stage options / variables that are needed for this. Thanks in advance VenkatR -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/compiling-gcc-4.2-on-solaris-x86-tp22482560p22482560.html Sent from the gcc - Help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
