Dude, protects SSP's canary itself in va_lists?

Hi people,

i've a dude about the GCC's security that applies to the
programs compiled with SSP option when i think in the
worst strange case.

Does SSP's canary protect itself in va_lists/varargs?

I think the canary protects itself in fixed-size frame from stack,
but does protect itself in variable-size frame as va_lists/varargs?
