I have just downloaded gfortran-macosx-x86.dmg from
http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinaries#MacOS
The installer goes through the usual and familiar UI steps,
but ends up saying there were "There were errors installing the
software"
"Please try installing again".
Doing it again does it again.
Is there a problem with this thing?
How do I get more information about its problems? There is nothing
interesting
on the console or system logs.
I'm running a brand new laptop:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 2 GB

Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B02
SMC Version: 1.16f8
