VMX128 AltiVec variant support?
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Hi,
Is there any support available or planned (unofficial patch maybe?) for
the VMX128 vector support?
When I try to compile with -maltivec I get illegal instructions because
VMX128 is almost-but-not-quite compatible with standard VMX/Altivec. :-(
Presumably, just disabling the use of the offending instructions would
resolve the problem as an initial fix (possibly enabled with a -mvmx128
parameter). I wouldn't mind getting involved and making the relevant
change(s), but I've never looked at GCC source before, so I'd need some
help/guidance to get started. Can anyone help or point me in the right
direction?
Thanks.
Gordan
