Hello. I gives support for a core set of libraries (.so) that are used by the developers of my company. The nine libraries are compiled using gcc4.1.2 on Linux-i686, solaris2.6-sparc and hpux-parisc platforms. Breaking backward compatibility is a headache for me. Currently I have two questions, the first very specific the second very general 1 - I have a inline static public member function. If I drop an assert from it, does it break backward compatibility? 2 -How can I know if a change in one of my libraries will break compatilibity? I mean some paper, utility, etc. Thanks. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/shared-object%2C-inline-members-and-backward-compatibility-tf4063904.html#a11546496 Sent from the gcc - Help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
