It's non-standard :-)
It was a feature originally thought up by Digital Equipment Corporation
- probably back in the seventies. Even they (well, their successors,
COMPAQ, err, I mean Hewlett Packard) have a hard time implementing it
correctly in their compiler/run-time library.
