Hello!
I have a Fedora Core 4 box with gcc-4.0.1
installed.
I need to be able to recompile some old
specialized software which was previously
compiled using a cross-compiler on an
IRIX system, and was also semi-successfully
cross compiled on a Red Hat Linux 6 system.
(It created an exectuable, but it was not
a byte-match with the older one.)
Right now I am trying to do this on
the aforementioned Fedora Core 4 system.
For the moment, I am trying to employ
the same compiler that was used
on the RHL system (gcc-1.40).
If find that if I try to compile gcc-1.40
in a "stand alone" directory, it apparently
still tries to reach include files in /usr/include,
which are no doubt the wrong versions and cause problems,
such as:

Is there any way of compiling gcc-1.40 such that
it only references its own files, and not those
"native" to the current system?
