Hello, I need a newer gcc for SunOS. Is anything available for download that a user (non-admin) can install locally? The Sun package available for gcc 3.4.2 does not help as this obscure package format is apparently not installable without root priviledge and I have seen no way either to just unpack it locally (as can be done e.g. with rpm packages). So why can no user-installable gcc archive be found anywhere on the net? Thanks for any hints. Thomas Wolff
