Dear community,

when trying to build GCC 3.4.3 on an IBM IntelliStation 265 running AIX 5.2
I get the following error message:

ld: 0711-736 ERROR: Input file libE77/.libs/Labort.o:

The command line used to configure it was as follows:
./configure --enable-languages=c,c++,f77 --prefix=/opt/local --disable-nls

The compiler used for the initial stage was /usr/bin/gcc. it reports
bash-2.05$ gcc -v
Reading specs from
/usr/bin/../lib/gcc-lib/powerpc-ibm-aix5.1.0.0/2.9-aix51-020209/specs
gcc version 2.9-aix51-020209

The version of GNU Make used is 3.8.0.

Is there a fix available regarding this issue?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Best regards
