Dear community, when trying to build GCC 3.4.3 on an IBM IntelliStation 265 running AIX 5.2 I get the following error message: ./xgcc -B./ -B/opt/local/powerpc-ibm-aix5.2.0.0/bin/ -isystem /opt/local/powerpc-ibm-aix5.2.0.0/include -isystem /opt/local/powerpc-ibm-aix5.2.0.0/sys-include -L/home/tev-blu/soft/gcc-3.4/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/../ld -O2 -DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wold-style-definition -isystem ./include -g -DHAVE_GTHR_DEFAULT -DIN_LIBGCC2 -D__GCC_FLOAT_NOT_NEEDED -I. -I. -I. -I./. -I./../include -DL_fixunsdfsi -c ./libgcc2.c -o libgcc/./_fixunsdfsi.o ./libgcc2.c: In function `__fixunsdfsi': ./libgcc2.c:1384: error: unrecognizable insn: (insn:HI 11 10 12 0 ./libgcc2.c:1381 (set (reg:CCEQ 122) (compare:CCEQ (ior:SI (gt:SI (reg:CCFP 121) (const_int 0 [0x0])) (eq:SI (reg:CCFP 121) (const_int 0 [0x0]))) (const_int 1 [0x1]))) -1 (insn_list 10 (nil)) (expr_list:REG_DEAD (reg:CCFP 121) (nil))) ./libgcc2.c:1384: internal compiler error: in extract_insn, at recog.c:2083 Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. As far as I can see, the problem seems to be a bug in the new compiler itself. Maybe a patch for AIX is needed. Is there a fix available regarding this issue? Or should I use a different version of the compiler? Thanks a lot for your help in advance. Best regards Jürgen Blume Anschrift Friedrich Boysen GmbH & Co.
