Solaris10 x86 compile program libstdc++.so.5

im trying to compile software on solaris10 x86 and in the config.log i get

libstdc++.so.5 not found.

LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to /usr/local/lib where its at, and crle is
configured with /usr/local/lib. still i get this error.
