Hi again, quick question. I know g77 is
compatible ith Fortran 77 and Fortran 90. But is
g77 backwards compatible with Fortran IV (Fortran
66?) and Fortran I?

As far as I know, most Fortran 66 constructs are supported. The problem is the extensions most Fortran "66" compilers allowed. g77 supports only a few of them.

If you encounter a problem, mail this list again.
