GCC 3.2.3 on AIX 4.3.2

Hi All,
I am trying to compile gcc 3.2.3 on AIX 4.3.2 and I am hitting this
error.

I am using the following tools
$ which ld
/usr/bin/ld
$ which as
/usr/bin/as
for linking and my shell is KSH.

Any ideas?

BTW, I do have the AIX 4.3 patch IY26685.
