using gdb 6.1 with gcc 3.4 on Solaris 7

I get the following error when loading a C++ program built with
gcc 3.4 and binutils 2.13 into gdb 6.1 (built with the same tools)
on Solaris 7. Are gdb 6.1 and gcc 3.4 known not to work well
together or is there something I'm missing (some special gcc
or gdb setup, perhaps)?

Thanks
Martin
