Renaming sections ..

 Is there any way of renaming the standard sections duting compilation 
? Or making different kinds of data go in different sections exept 
__attribute__(section(bla bla )) statements ?

 Or is there a way to accomplish this using binutils ?

 I have been looking all over but is clueless so far ?
