Category: win32 Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Jack Shy (jackshy) Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: Proxy Problems? Initial Comment: I just installed the new GAIM 1.3.1 (Windows version) on my system - the install had no issues at all. I am able to connect to AIM without any problem. However, both MSN and Yahoo refuse to connect. I am at work and am going throug a Proxy Server to get out. I can use AOL, MSN, and Yahoo instant messengers from here (although MSN routinely drops messages). I left the proxy settings as Use Environmental Settings. I have also tried using the HTTP Proxy settings, but then not even AOL will connect. Any suggestions are much appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2006-12-29 19:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1312539 Originator: NO This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. AIM seems to work fine with the same proxy settings. Using http proxy on port 8000 (my companies proxy server). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2006-12-14 21:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO This bug is fixed in the most recent version of Gaim. If you are not using the lastest version, please upgrade. If you are using the latest version, please indicate so and reopen this bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: sheryl (sherylim) Date: 2006-04-08 14:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1497706 Hi, I have this problem too. At home, gaim works perfectly, but when I'm at college, I can't use it for any account, be it Yahoo, MSN, ICQ etc. We use the intranet to connect over here and I can only use webmsn which isn't really too ideal. PLEASE MAKE GAIM PROXY-FRIENDLY!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: kinghai (kinghai) Date: 2006-02-10 06:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1327729 Yeah, it happen at my site, I have the same issue, even I tried gaim-2.0.0beta2.
