Category: win32 Group: None >Status: Pending Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: mcb (sf-mcb) Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: Gaim Hangs, but loads... Initial Comment: Gaim is taking between 40-45 seconds to authenticate and logon. Please note this is not a freeze or a crash. It has not done either. It just takes an inordinate amount of time to load. All the while the authenticating progress bar moves and never reports an error. For this reason my problem seems dissimilar to the cygwin path crash phenom. And as best as i can tell all cygwin is cleared from my computer. Any thoughts of what might be causing this? Seems like i had seen one post referring to DNS issues. We work in a workgroup LAN with no active directory or WINS server. Background - I am running the latest version of Gaim on XP Pro sp2, with the Jive Messenger server as the back end. Thanks for your help, mcb ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2006-12-15 00:26 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO This bug is fixed in the most recent version of Gaim.
