Summary: connection problem under Linux-x86_64 but not Windows

Initial Comment:
I have 2.0.0-beta5 for Windows and I compiled it for x86_64.

I'm having a problem with an account that works under Windows but won't connect under Linux.
I checked the password many times. :-)
I've attached connection logs from Windows and Linux, hopefully someone can see the problem.

One difference I noticed was under Windows this is all 1 line but Linux splits it up.

I also have an almost identical problem on my home machine. It's dual-boot
Mandriva 2007/Windows XP, and both running 2.0.0-b5. My computer is an i386
box. Sorry, I can't attach debug logs right now as I'm away from home, but
I seem to recall similar behaviour to what is reported here.
