Summary: No sounds in beta4 on Slackware 10.2

Initial Comment:
I recently compiled and installed beta4 over my beta3
gaim install on my laptop running slackware 10.2,
2.6.17 kernel and 3.5.3 KDE. Sound was working as of
the beta3 but now it isn't working with beta4. I
believe I had multiple choices in the Prefs for
different types of audio but now all i have is
console beep, no sound, and Command.

I've tried to recompile and install the beta3 overtop
the beta4 to see if the sound is restored but I now
get an error when compiling saying that the location
for dbus couldn't be found. Compiling beta4 works
without it finding dbus. Could this be related to my
sound issue?

Also, currently I am running the Threaded OSS as my
audio device in the KDE settings, whereas before
compiling earlier versions, I may have been using
ALSA. Could this be causing my problem?
