All the FAQs provide Linux instructions.

This bug is fixed in the most recent version of Gaim.  If you are
not using the lastest version, please upgrade.  If you are using
the latest version, please indicate so and reopen this bug.

OK, forget that. For others in distress, you put all the
files in the Gaim Plugins folder, then reload Gaim. Voila. ;-)

OK, say if you unzip a plugin and end up with a bunch of
.dll files. Now what do you do?

That depends on the plugin.

Some come with a windows installer.
Some you need to compile yourself and place in your plugins
directory.
Some haven't been ported to windows.
