Recently I changed YM username to chaoticgood.darkmoon I have been unsuccessful to connect thorugh gaim and it says invalid username. I am successful in connecting gaim with msn, aim and icq but not YM because of the error. Is it because gaim doesn't recognize usernames with "." when using http-tunnel or something else? I am currently behind http proxy and I can only connect with gaim using http-tunnel. I tried connecting directly to the internet using another PC and I was able to login to yahoo and use gaim without any problem. My gaim version is 2.0.0 beta 4 and my yahoo messenger version is 8.1.0.195 (beta). I use windows XP SP2. I use Zone Alarm firewall (free version, gaim fully allowed). Sorry if I miss other relevant info you need to be able to assist me properly. How do I resolve this issue?
