Actually I am using 0.78 (in german) for sure... ;-) But I always have problems, when I try to connect to the irc-servers: - irc.freenode.net and - irc.netsurf.de I never get a connection and the GAIM message box says for e.g.: 'newuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx couldn't be connected or was diconnected.' (Then the date and time) 'Connection canceld' I am using the following options/settings: - username: newuser - server irc.freenode.net irc-settings: - port: 6667 - coding: UTF-8 proxy-options: - use global proxy settings I already tried different settings (e.g. coding ISO-8859- 1) or proxy-options. But unfortunately I wasn't lucky up to now... Furthermore I also log in to the server irc.quaknet.org and here it works FINE every time! Attached you will find the Debug-File which shows the logging-trials to the above mentioned irc-servers. So, I really would very thankful, if somebody could help me... I will appreciate your help so much!
