Category: win32 Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: DrSkip (drskip) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: AIM invalid data error on 2.0beta3.1 Initial Comment: This is from the AIM login using 2.0beta3.1 debug window. It won't keep the connection, and login has been verified on aol.com. Debug shows it seeming to load a bunch of modules, then this. 2 lines affected by word wrap, but the offending one seems to be: oscar: Major connection error (invalid data was received on the oscar TCP stream) ------------------------ dns: DNS Lookup for: login.oscar.aol.com autorecon: done calling gaim_account_connect proxy: Connecting to login.oscar.aol.com:5190 with no proxy proxy: Connect would have blocked. proxy: Connected. oscar: Screen name sent, waiting for response oscar: Major connection error (invalid data was received on the oscar TCP stream). connection: Disconnecting connection 02381D58 oscar: Signed off. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: DrSkip (drskip) Date: 2006-10-05 23:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1613520 Odd, I refreshed the list of issues and it reposted my last response - and no, I wasn't on the submit screen. Sorry. Anyway, it would be a good time to report that it seems to like the older gtk fine, although I haven't put it through its paces, it just isn't giving errors in the debug window about it while signing on. Thanks much. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: DrSkip (drskip) Date: 2006-10-05 23:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1613520 correction: gtk 2.8.18. Now to figure out what put that on here! I'm assuming that's the problem now, correct. Sorry for the confusion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2006-10-05 10:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 gaim and gtk 2.8 do not get along on Windows, due to some changes in the way gtk does sockets. This might be the root of your problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: DrSkip (drskip) Date: 2006-10-04 22:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1613520 correction: gtk 2.8.18.
