Initial Comment: Has MS recently locked out non-MS clients and/or older protocol versions? For the first time today, Gaim 1.5.0 is giving me a 'Temporarily unavailable' message during login. (NB: Gaim 1.5.0 has not actually worked for me with MSN during handshake, but the error message is new and occurs very early). In the last 48 hours, my (ancient) Microsoft Messenger 4.7 client also started getting "Temporarily Unavailable" error messages. Online help suggested that the error number related to a purely temporary outage. It also gave a link to a 'New required' minimum Messenger versions for various Windows releases. I upgraded to Messenger 8.0 (or whatever the latest is), and the problem when away. (I was being teased by buddies for using such an old client, too). This was withing Australia. I guess if anyone else can still log in with Gaim, it might actually BE a temporarary, but repeating problem ....
