Initial Comment:
IF you try to see the page at:

http://gaim.sourceforge.net/caps

you will 404, but that is the URL shown in the debug
output from our internal jabber server, which looks
like this:

---------------------------
</presence>
<c xmlns="http://jabber.org/protocol/caps";
node="http://gaim.sf.net/caps"; ver="2.0.0beta3"/>
<status>I'm not here right now</status>
<show>away</show>
<presence from="elizabeth@xxxxxxxxxxx/salus">

Any one know why GAIM is supplying this URL? What it is
trying to tell us? And whether or not a developer would
like to edit this output from GAIM. I believe my user
has v3beta2 on Windohs. I am using v3beta3 on Linux.

Thanks everyone.

Peace. Love. Linux.

That URL is not meant to be a URL for you to use in a web
browser, it is only meant to be used as a unique string.
You can see implementation details at
http://www.jabber.org/jeps/jep-0115.html
