Category: win32 Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Ankit (rageboy04) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Can't build Initial Comment: I don't know why, but I can't seem to build anything for gaim...plugins or even the actual file. For the plugins, I checked make -f Makefile.mingw history.dll just to make sure it was working, and that exited with the error: c:\MinGW\bin\..\lib\gcc-lib\mingw32\3.2.3\..\..\..\..\minw32\bin\ld.exe: cannot find -lgaim make: *** [enhanced_history.dll] Error 1 Then I thought maybe it was because I didn't build gaim first, so I tried doing that, but then it exited with: Creating library file: libnapster.lib make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/Ankit Singla/gaim/src/protocols/napster' make TYPE='PLUGIN' -C ./src/protocols/gg -f Makefile.mingw make[1]: Entering directory '/home/Ankit Singla/gaim/src/protocols/gg' make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'lib/common.o', needed by 'libgg.dll'. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/Ankit Singla/gaim/src/protocols/gg' make: *** [all] Error 2 Kinda stuck. I followed the directions on the website and used the WinGaim Build Environment Fetcher. I also talked to someone whom it worked for when I was installing cygwin and got all the same packages as him (we think). Please help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Ankit (rageboy04) Date: 2006-08-16 21:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1276942 thanks worked great :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2006-08-16 17:36 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 You certainly need to build gaim first - that is the reason for your first problem. The reason for your error while building gadu-gadu is that the 2.0.0beta3 tarball was missing a few files. Unless you're using gadu-gadu, I would recommend disabling it by editing the root Makefile.mingw and commenting out the relevant portions. You will experience a similar problem for Perl support (I suggest the same solution). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=200235&aid=1541252&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
