I set up a new account in msn. I can log on to the msn account via hotmail so the ID and pw work fine. When I use the same id and pw in gaim, it begins the handshaking then the login fails with a 'writing error'. I went back and downloaded the gaim+debug version and installed it. Same thing happens. Okay... that works. So the current download with the older gtk lets me log into msn. However, if i use an updated gtk (2.8.18) it causes the msn login to fail. since I need gaim more than the other app, I've reverted back to the older version of gtk. I'm using the gtk that comes with that distribution.
