Summary: No GAIM IP Traffic over PPPD Session

Initial Comment:
Am new to Linux.

I can use GAIM very well with both Wired or wireless
NICs, but not at all when connected to the internet via
a pppd modem session. I have configured the Verizon
Wireless Broadband Modem, and web/Notes all work fine.
It appears as though the IP traffic is not being
sent/received via the "modem". Not sure how to force
the protocols onto a DUN session on th emodem.

MY OS is SUSE Linux SLED 10. IBM Thinkpad/Verizon
wireless card.

TIA
