Summary: 2.0.0 beta2 Does Not Show In System Tray When Auto-Starting

Initial Comment:
I recently downloaded and beta 2 after having used beta
1 for about a week or so. Since then, I have found that
when I configure the Windows plugin to auto-start Gaim,
the program does start but no icon is shown in the
System Tray and therefore there is no way to access the
program. I have to go to Task Mgr and kill the process.
Upon manual startup all is fine.

One other thing to mention is that my last session had
an IRC chat enabled and that after auto-star a chat
window is displayed even though there is no icon in the
task tray. I am not sure if the chat window somehow
contributes to the System Tray problem.

BTW - this is on XP Pro SP2.

Thanks for updating when you figured out the cause.

I have discovered, since posting this, that this is a common
problem on Windows XP. Other programs were also affected.
The cause is not clear and there may be many variations. But
it is NOT a GAIM problem. Sorry,
