Summary: immediate disconnect from aim

Initial Comment:
I haven't used gaim for some months and now it won't work.

I click sign on and get the message "connection
established, cookie sent". Next, I get the message
"<screen name> has been disconnected".

Ihave updated gaim, deleted and reinstalled, checked
the screen name by installing AIM (ugh)and making sure
it works. I'm stuck. Any suggestions as to what I
shuold do next, anyone?

Thanks
Alan
