Category: None Group: None >Status: Pending Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tami (duchess) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Buddy List not showing Initial Comment: I am using the most recent Gaim and it will let me sign on and I can set away messages and people can IM me, but I cannot see my buddy list. The only way I can recieve IM's is if they IM me first. I thought this problem was due to me having an older version of Gaim so I deleted it an started over, but this has not fixed the problem...Any help would be appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2005-09-03 10:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 did showing offline buddies show them? or are they entirely missing? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: BkSystems (bksystems) Date: 2004-08-30 08:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1100164 Online buddies will show automatically. buddies->show offline buddies If u check this option, it will show all the offline buddies also. Check the file ".gaim/blist.xml" in ur home directory. All the buddylist will be stored & whenever u r launching 'gaim', it will load all the buddies from this file only. Makesure it the file is there or not. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: DaRocker22 (darocker22) Date: 2004-08-28 23:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1073595 What version was you using prior to upgrading? Also, have you been able to login on the regular clients aka MSN, AIM, Yahoo....etc and see your buddylist show up there? I know there was one version awhile back, that deleted my buddylist on AIM off the server. So when i did login on AIM thru the AIM messenger, i didn't have anyone on my buddylist, but i was still able to login on Gaim and see it, because it was using a local copy of my buddylist, but had deleted the on on AOL's server. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=200235&aid=1017548&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Gaim-support mailing list Gaim-support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gaim-support
