Summary: unable to connect Gaim 1.4.0 through proxy

Initial Comment:
I'm using Gaim 1.4.0 (Windows). I have to pass through
proxy to connect to internet from my workplace. I have
setup the proxy server address and have provided my
username and prassword. But it is not getting connected.
I have given proxy server type as HTTP and tried with
different ports in vain.
Port 8080:Access denied.proxy server forbids port 5050
tunnelling
port 80:proxy connection error 405
port 5050: Unable to connect

thanks
Bharath

in the account editor, click to modify your yahoo account.
click to see more options. change the port. most port
numbers above 1024 should work.
