Hello, Everyone :) While attempting to compile Gimp 1.3.21, I got the following error: configure: error: Library requirements (fontconfig >= 2.2.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them. So I proceeded to run "rpm -qa fontconfig" - the result was fontconfig 2.1-9 So I then proceeded to download a tarball of fontconfig-2.2.0 When I ran configure on it, it seemed to finish fine, except it said that automake 1.4 and aclocal 1.4 were missing. So I downloaded an RPM of automake 1.4 that was originally make for Red Hat 6.2, and I installed it. Still, no automake 1.4 or aclocal 1.4. But I don't know if that has anything to do with the results of the "make" command. To attempt to run down a bug on Bibletime for KDE, I installed current source-code vesions of the auto-conf tools, but I wouldn't think that would be an issue, as I installed automake 1.4 before giving up and writing this message. Any help you can give me in compiling fontconfig 2.2.0 will be greatly appreciated :) Have a Great Day :) Steven P. Ulrick
