fontconfig doesn't differentiate black and extrabold faces

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
I use fontconfig 2.2 in Debian Sid (unstable).
fontconfig doesn't seem to distinguish black from extrabold face,
so it displays the same shape for fonts with 800 and 900
usWeightClass value.
I am attaching some fonts to help understand this problem.
I used gnome-font-properties to see how hum521ub.ttf and hum521xb.ttf
look, but they look the same.
Although this may not be a significant problem,
I wish this problem be resolved.
Thank you all for developing fontconfig
which I think is a wonderful thing.
