Support for hijacking SCSI/IDE device names was ripped out of the Xen blkfront when it was merged in upstream Linux. Since Fedora 10 guest is based on upstream, you need to use xvda not sda, regardless of installer. We did warn people this would likely happen when upstream got hold of the code...
