I think one related bug - from RHEL 5 beta 2 - is 223444.

PDF document states to format C drive with FAT file system ... But how? There is no prompt for this. Some parts of the windows installation passes the screen in a few seconds - any messages to press XXX is displayed to fast to be read.

As I said earlier, When the system says to press F6, Press F5, select "standard PC" and continue. This would give you the prompt to format the drive using fat.
