It does *indeed* pop up a window briefly - whatchaknow :) >From "xm dmesg" it looks as though (on my box) it can't see the CDROM to boot from and shuts down. There does seem to be something about a CDROM in the window that pops up, but I don't read quite *that* quickly. If I get it going I'll post back here.
