This is my fedora rawhide guest os being launched with a ubuntu kernel and initrd, which boots successfully to login (with some errors as you have seen)
I guess your initial setup of dependency modules are not correct. That is why I mentioned please do "depmod" and mkinitrd correctly.
This is my problem. I don't know which kernel and initrd to use and how to create them.
