Coincidentally, I've just tracked down something very similar in fc6test1/rawhide after a lot of poking. It turns out to be a libdhcp issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=197172 I don't think anaconda in FC5 updates uses libdhcp, so I doubt its the same issue but ...
