Fedora 15 Update notification

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

This https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=696121 deals with an issue
that currently the system waits for 1 week to inform about possible non-security
updates.

This brings up a question whether the "Testcase desktop updates" is still
accurate as it states that the notification should appear within 30 minutes.
I understand that this is likely still the case if there are security issues
pending - however as there are more likely non to be pending during the TC
or RC desktop testing, it's little difficult to test.

Does anyone have an idea how to trigger the notification manually to see
whether it works (other than changing date a week in the future) or does
somebody know of a security package update i could try to downgrade?

I am thinking modifying the test case to reflect this situation.
Thoughts?

Thanks!
