To get it working, you need to do a BIOS hack: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/473226-insyde-hacking-new-vaio-z-advanced-menu-bios.html then set the new BIOS setting that appears for the video card to 'static' or something (I forget the exact setting, but what it does is let you 'lock in' one graphics card or the other, instead of both being available to the OS, as is the case by default no matter which switch position you set). then set the mode switch to 'speed'. Boot with the vesa driver or to text mode or something (or you can use the proprietary driver, it works), and install a kernel of version 2.6.35.1-5.rc1 or later. Then try the nouveau driver, and it should work. Intel is still broken. I have bugs open already: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=596557 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=596562 I'll mark yours as dupes of mine. -- Adam Williamson Fedora QA Community Monkey IRC: adamw | Fedora Talk: adamwill AT fedoraproject DOT org http://www.happyassassin.net -- test mailing list test@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
