Acer Laptop TM6465WMLi with X1300:

RC3.1 x86_64 Live: boots fine into the Desktop without changes except
autologin did not work. I had to click "Login".

RC4 x86_64 Live: boots fine into the Desktop without changes except
autologin did not work. I had to click "Login".

RC4 boot.iso (default option 1): does not work. When it starts X I get
the same weird greenish to white fading screen that I reported earlier

RC4 boot.iso (default option 1 but with xdriver=vesa appended): boots
fine into X and I see that initial startup screen (with "13"?) and
"Next" to continue works. Resolution is less than the screen's native
1680x1050.

RC4 boot.iso (default option 1 but with radeon.modeset=0 appended):
boots until it starts X. Then I get a general protection error similar
to the one I already reported. Pictures named 20100813_00[1-4].jpg from
the previous crash are here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~pjl/tmp/

RC4 boot.iso (option 2 - install with basic video driver): boots fine
into X and I see that initial startup screen (with "13"?) and "Next" to
continue works.

Patrick
